Julianne + Hayden (2.8.2020)

We woke up to their wedding day with snow falling from the sky and I was over the moon because it was the perfect "white wedding" we've ever seen!

The Design
Julianne found us on Instagram and I am so happy that she did! Her style was a so modern, simple and clean! My favorite thing about her design aspect - black bridesmaid dresses that took the elegance factor way up for her special day!
Julianne's venue was The Foundry at Puritan Mill, an edgy, yet modern industrial feel with big steel beams, exposed brick, large windows and a really architecturally designed ceiling. She honestly could not have chosen a better venue for her theme.
Logistically, the venue is HUGE so she was covered for an indoor wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. This venue does require a flip. Crazy thing is that most wedding venues in the area actually do require some sort of a flip which means re-configuring a ceremony setup to a reception setup.

The Wedding Day
We woke up to snow on the ground and I couldn't be more ecstatic it was like the cherry on top for Julianne and Hayden's design and it was our very first snowfall on a wedding day! When we arrived, we had two main massive installations including over 550 feet of cafe bulb lighting and a big fluffy smilax hanging focal piece. It's not everyday we get on a scissor lift, but when we do we love every second of it because it means BIG things!
The personal florals for this wedding were plentiful because they had 9 bridesmaids and 9 groomsmen - that's right 18 plus the happy couple and a flower girl made a 21 count bridal party. The personal flowers consisted of the classic white and green look with peonies, ranunculus, garden roses, italian ruscus, olive branch, seeded eucalyptus and silver dollar eucalyptus.

A key aspect of Julianne's design was a hanging floral that would be the focal for her ceremony, then would take the backdrop for her head table later on in the evening. I constantly suggest to our brides to re-purpose things as much as they can and I was so excited that Julianne decided to take our advice!

The Reception Details
Keeping with the same classic, "black tie event" look, Julianne opted to be bold with a folded black napkin that perfectly drew in the deep saturated mahogany chivari chairs, a classic ivory linen from BBJ Linen and gold accents (the charger, flatware and centerpiece accents). Her head table was centered in front of the large floating floral and her head table design included a tied 30' garland comprised of smilax, seeded and silver dollar eucalyptus that swept the ground on each side. Each table in the reception had romantic multi-tiered candles and gold mercury glass votives.

The Party
It was no doubt that the couple were surrounded by a lively bunch that ended the night on a high point with no snow or ice in sight! Cheers to the new Mr. and Mrs. Jordan!
