Jordana + Paul (10.3.2020)

A short walk into the gardens behind Brumby Hall led us to our ceremony spot for the day. The space was set up with wooden cross back chairs for 50 guests. The aisle was lined with lanterns and it all led to a gold circular arbor decorated with white roses and greenery.

Jordana arrived early afternoon to get ready with her four daughters. She came with her hair and makeup already done and looked absolutely stunning. The bridesmaids, who also happen to be Jordana’s oldest daughters, wore short beige bridesmaid dresses that looked beautiful next to their mothers lace gown.

Paul and his son Vincent wore black tuxes and big smiles that made clear their excitement for this special day. Jordana wrote sweet letters to Vincent, Paul’s mother, and her daughters to read before the wedding. It is always heartwarming seeing two families come together as one.

A translator was present during the ceremony because the wedding was being live streamed to Brazil where much of Jordana’s family lives. The couple chose to have a sand unity portion of their ceremony to signify the blending of their families. Jordana and Paul along with each of their children had a small container of colored sand to pour into one larger container all together.

Once the couple was pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Carlan, guests headed to the Topiary garden to enjoy cocktail hour. The reception space was filled with beautiful farmhouse tables from Unlimited Party and Event Rental. The tablescape included rattan chargers, gold lanterns, and greenery that stood out beautifully against the dark wood.

The hors d’oeuvres and dinner were provided by Carriage House Catering. The food they made was wonderful and so was working alongside them. The elegant three-tier cake, made by Carol Evenrud Cakes, stood tall surrounded by sweet Brazilian treats the bride’s friends provided. The dessert table was definitely catching glances from the guests as they walked around.

After dinner was served and toasts were made, everyone headed to the dance floor to bust a move. Seriously, nobody was staying in their seats. It was like the dancing was contagious. Once the dancing winded down, the couple was sent off with cheers and sparklers. It was a lovely night to celebrate the union of this beautiful couple and their families.
