Citrus Styled Shoot
On a nice, hot June day we traveled a few hours south to Cuthbert, Georgia for a citrus inspired shoot. The venue was Englund Estate, a large southern home complete with columns and beautiful boxwood bushes along the driveway.
Boxwoods along the driveway sound nice right? How about a 150 year old boxwood garden making up a majority of the backyard? Well that’s what can be found when you make your way around the house. This setting felt like it came straight from a romantic film. This is where we began to set up the ceremony space. We went with a suspended floral arrangement just above an opening in the bushes. Six pews were accompanied by aisle florals made up of whites, yellows, and pinks.
In the side yard was a large farmhouse table with benches for seating. The place settings were made complete with lemon place holders. Between the orange and yellow candles and the variety of citrus fruits lining the florals, there was no lack of color among this table.
The bride wore a long sleeve gown that sat a little bit off of the shoulder. The groom wore a navy tux and a pocket boutonniere. Bright red poppies gave the bride’s bouquet something a little different from the other arrangements. The shoot got interrupted by some small showers, but nothing was stopping us. The photographers made the most of their time capturing the different settings at Englund Estate.
It wouldn’t have been the cutest citrus inspired shoot without cake and punch! The cake had the perfect mix of flowers and fruit and the punch was able to make any mouth water. Despite the rain in the middle of the day, the skies cleared up again and everyone was able to get some beautiful shots!
